Now select the SSD capacity to match your tested dataset and adjust the appropriate compression rate provided by the test tool.
A Scaleflux NVMe SSD can be filled beyond 90% without performance degradation.
But to be safe use 90% fill rate.
Example. Suppose that you achieve a compression ratio of 1:1,5 which is average.
But let’s assume that we also have non-compressible data. Therefore, we adjust the
compression ratio from 1,5:1 to 1,2:1. A very conservative estimate
So a 16TB Scaleflux NVMe SSD will give 19,2TB usable capacity.
