Better
ScaleFlux SSDs provide a breakthrough in enterprise and data center SSD capability.
ScaleFlux write reduction technology not only enhances drive-level performance, endurance, reliability, and efficiency, but also yields improvements at the system, rack, and data center-level. Very simply, writing less to the NAND lets the drive do more – more IOPs, more endurance, more power efficiency.
What’s the secret? Ordinary enterprise NVMe SSDs slow down as they fill up. With our write reduction technology, ScaleFlux SSDs continue to achieve “fresh out of box” performance even as the file system fills. ScaleFlux write reduction technology increases the effective bandwidth of the NAND reads & writes and decreasing the wear-and-tear on the NAND cells.
Simple
We understand that deploying new technology can be daunting. So, we’ve kept the deployment simple and standards-based. ScaleFlux SSDs are fully compliant with industry standards for form factors, NVMe drivers, OCP specifications and data security.
ScaleFlux gives users the freedom to change certain settings (such as overprovisioning, read priority, and user capacity) to optimize the balance of storage space, performance, latency, and endurance for their application. No more having to buy one SKU for your most latency-sensitive application and a different SKU for your most cost-sensitive application.
For those wanting to utilize the capacity multiplier feature to bring an element of storage array functionality into the compute node, ScaleFlux drives again use NVMe standards to enable higher Terabyte Effective (TBe) capacity. Users configure and manage the extra capacity with NVMe Thin Provisioned Namespaces commands.
